The Village Captain of Javalera, General Trias, Cavite Province suggested to us that we pilot our program on the pressing issue on teen-age pregnancy to grades 5 and 6 students of Javalera Elementary School which is situated right beside the Village Hall. We met with her and the principal of the school in the second week of July to present the program to them. Principal Rea agreed that this is very timely and she openly welcomed the program.

Values Formation Administrator, Ann De Sena completed the module for the program in collaboration with Headstart Administrator, Jeena Tolosa for the teacher’s guide and student’s hand-outs.

First, the overview was conducted by Ann on Maghintay (Wait), the temporary title of the program. Today, 8/19/14, is the beginning of follow-up sessions for the pressing problem on teen-age pregnancy. For 24 weeks, Ann and Jeena will spend timeĀ once a week with Grades 5 & 6 students of this public elementary school not only for awareness but to teach them how to be a part of the solution – a Christ-centered tramadol life.
