Its Summer Time In The City by: KC Romerosa Classes are out!!! But for the children of Capitol Hills, it’s the start of learning and having fun time with CBC, as they participate in the Daily Vacation Bible School.
Lambat Ministries opened up a DVBS for the students of CBC as well as for the other residents of CHES. Unlike any other DVBS, we decided that the classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This started last April 12 and will last till May 29, 2004. Classes are divided into three age groups ( 2-5, 6-10 and 11-17). The program focuses more on the word of God with activities that include home economics, arts and music (singing and dancing). The main objective of this curriculum is to equip the children with knowledge on how to take on responsibility in their homes and how to use their talents for God’s glory. Currently, they are having cooking, sewing, lettering and dancing lessons. If funds are available, they will also be taught how to play musical instruments.
The children are surely kept busy this summer. One important truth about Lambat’s abode at Capitol Hills Subdivision is that this is a place where CBC members and other children can go to and spend time with their friends and devoted teachers. CBC members are fully equipped with the word of God and with the wisdom on how to be responsible persons created after God’s own image wherever they go.
